“Melo – M” will go on “Latvia’s Centenary Concert tour”
In the spring of 2018, the cello trio Melo – M will go on a concert tour in Latvia, the repertoire will consist of the songs of many popular Latvian composers’ in special arrangements, making their debut in promoting the symbiosis of Latvian symbols.
The concert tour is given a significant name “Latvian Symbolic Concert Tour”, which testifies not only Melo – M ‘s musicians’ wish to especially celebrate Latvia’ s festival, but also to offer a special music program to the public, putting the emphasis on the works of Latvian authors.
The repertoire of the concert program will include Latvian folk songs and melodies from most renown Latvian composers Emīls Darziņš, Raimonds Pauls, Imants Kalniņš, Janis Lūsēns, Raimonds Tiguls. In addition, the most popular songs of the group “Līvi”, “Brainstorm” and other well-known Latvian music groups will be performed.
“Latvian Concert Tour” will take place in many cities of Latvia in March and April. Concerts will be performed by Melo-M cellists Karlis Auzāns, Janis Pauls and Mikelis Dobičins.
